There are so many great blogs about gifted children,
adolescents and adults, each of which provide a somewhat different
perspective.
These blogs are written by teachers, parents, therapists, and researchers. They describe parenting dilemmas, personal triumphs and struggles, and research-based strategies that work. While there are also many wonderful websites, books, and blogsites specifically geared toward gifted education strategies, the blogs listed below were selected because of their focus on the social and emotional aspects of giftedness, parenting dilemmas, or advocacy.

ReplyDeleteDr. Post,
ReplyDeleteThank you for listing these blogs. Do you know if they are all still functioning? I will check them out, as that will help me to answer my own question. I have been a long time advocate for our district's GT student population, even running an adovacy group for three years. Do you think there is room for more voice on GT education topics? I have been thinking of starting a blog, myself! Thanks, in advance!
Carol
Carol, Go for it! There is always room for more voices in support of gifted children. Looking forward to hearing from you in the future!

ReplyDeleteThis is a great list. Do you know of any blogs BY gifted children? I teach gifted and would love to offer the children another child's perspective. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI don't know of any - but you might want to look at Davidson's Gifted's site. They often showcase their gifted students and there might be something there of interest. Also, check with NAGC which sometimes publishes articles written by gifted children. Perhaps your students could start their writing!
DeleteNicely presented information in this post, I prefer to read this kind of stuff. The quality of content is fine and the conclusion is good. Thanks for the post.
